Ac Tah, a Mayan master who, in the past few years has come into fame spreading his message in Mexico, declares that 2012 is not the termination of life, it is actually the beginning. Changes are happening now, and will continue to occur after 2012. Humanity as a whole will rise up in mindfulness. He states positively the extent of the changes that will take place and how difficult they are greatly depend on the level of human awareness. He says the best thing we all can do at this time is to come together in unity, regardless of race, religion, creed or outlook.

There are other spiritual leaders from Mexico, which contains one of the largest Mayan populations, who have a very much the same message. Well-known author of The Four Agreements, don Miguel Ruiz has freshly published another book called The Fifth Agreement. The bottom line is that even as there may be countless transformations that transpire as we approach 2012 and after, and these changes can bring up anxiety of the unknown, we are living in a special time in humanity's history. What on the exterior may look like disaster is really the old coming to an end in order to make way for the new. This doesn't mean that there will not be tragedy as the changes take place. When a big establishment crumples many lose their jobs. When there are earthquakes, many may even lose their lives. And, while such things have always taken place in human history, it does not negate the difficulties and catastrophes that occur. At the same time, however, according to the Mayans and other spiritual chiefs, in the bigger picture what is happening has been destined to happen for a very long time. And most importantly, it is bringing people to a much better world to inhabit.
